Privacy Policy

Effective 4 June 2026 · last updated 4 June 2026
The short version: Assimilax does not require an account and does not collect personal information. The game keeps your progress on your own device. The only thing that ever leaves your device is an optional, anonymous high-score entry — your 3-letter initials and your score — and only if you choose to submit it to the public leaderboard. No ads, no tracking, no analytics, no purchases.

Who this applies to

This policy covers the Assimilax mobile game (“the app”, “we”, “us”) on iOS and Android. By using the app you agree to this policy.

What we collect

The app collects no personal information — no name, email, phone number, account, login, location, contacts, photos, or advertising/device identifiers.

The single piece of data that is ever transmitted off your device is a leaderboard entry, and only when you actively choose to submit a high score. That entry contains:

FieldExampleNotes
InitialsABCExactly three letters A–Z that you type. Not your real name — free text is not allowed.
Score4200A whole number.
Game character & difficultycoral · HardWhich orb you played and the difficulty.
Timestamp2026-06-04T12:00ZWhen the score was submitted.

This entry is anonymous: it is not linked to any account or identity, and it cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

Data that stays on your device

Your level progress, lives, continues, and settings are stored locally on your device only (via on-device storage). This information is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and is removed if you uninstall the app.

How the leaderboard data is stored

Submitted high scores are stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), which acts as our data processor. The public leaderboard inside the app displays the initials, score, character, and difficulty described above. Google processes this data on our behalf under their own terms; see the Firebase Privacy and Security information and the Google Privacy Policy.

We do not use Firebase Analytics or any other analytics product — the app initialises only the Firestore database, so no usage data or device identifiers are collected automatically.

No advertising, tracking, or purchases

Children’s privacy

Assimilax is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because leaderboard initials are limited to three letters (A–Z) and no free text or personal details can be entered, the app does not gather information that could identify a child.
